Commitment to Customers Means Skills Training

Melina Metzger, Public Relations Manager

As part of our commitment to our customers, Safelite AutoGlass® supports the education and proper training of auto body and vehicle glass technicians.

In addition to our own SafeTechTM certification program, the company helps ensure proper training by supporting the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF).

This summer, we’ve donated $10,000 to the CREF to provide grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges. By increasing educational opportunities through this support, the students of today become tomorrow’s industry professionals and create a brighter future for the entire collision industry.

CREF Executive Director Clark Plucinski noted, “Safelite as a company has a great history of giving back both through financial contributions and personal volunteer efforts. The support of Safelite’s entire senior management team speaks loudly of the progress we have made with helping companies like Safelite to understand the value of donating to the Foundation. Safelite’s leaders understand that there is not just a benefit to the shops, but to the entire industry helping to build the bridge to employment for the 60,000 students participating in these programs.”
