A key element in having a customer-driven culture is to be a company where top-performers want to work. Otherwise, they’ll happily take their talent elsewhere.
One such talent we are pleased has been with us eight years – Christine McCollum – and she’s a winner of our 5th Annual Exceptional Customer Service Award.
Year-after-year, Omaha-based Christine is among the top-rated repair specialists at Safelite. With a larger-than-life personality, she has an ability to build customer trust and rapport. Christine lives and breathes all things cars. She is a wonderful prototype that we’d like all our associates to be.
Technician Manager Bob Schenk said, “She’s fantastic to have around. She’ll help anyone: co-worker or customer. She’s always upbeat and is probably the most caring person I’ve ever met. She connects with customers and brings her “A-game” every day. She’ll help out in the shop vacuuming cars with side glass damage and train new technicians and repair specialists on how to properly interact with customers.”
One customer wrote in to say, “Christine really impressed me. I still remember her name two months after my service. It was a hot, humid summer day like we get in western Iowa. She got out of her vehicle and had a huge smile on her face. You could tell she liked her job!”
Christine’s First-hand Advice: For other customer service professionals, Christine’s top tip is “Don't perceive it as customer service but as being the good Samaritan or helpful neighbor with a cup of sugar. You are their friend. Every day I love having an opportunity to help increase the customer experience bar that Safelite sets one customer at a time.”
Thank you, Christine for your dedication to our customers!
