Safelite’s Excellence in Service program recognizes employees when they are complimented for customer service. Winners earn points to purchase online merchandise. Here is the latest profile of one of our Excellence in Service honorees: Christopher Bennett.

This is a letter from Lynae J.:

I am writing this letter to acknowledge the exceptional customer service that I received from Christopher Bennett while visiting your East Hartford location. Early this morning, I awoke to find that my car was broken into and my passenger window was smashed in. After I filed a police report, I contacted my insurance company and was referred to Safelite.

I took a ride over to the shop and walked right in and was greeted ever so pleasantly by Christopher. I soon realized that I had arrived much earlier than the office opened, but Christopher never even said a word. I immediately apologized for my early arrive but was told it wasn’t an issue at all. I explained my situation to him, and to my surprise, he found time that afternoon. However, during the process of getting me scheduled, he checked the availability of the glass replacement and discovered that the glass I needed was not in stock so I’d have to come back. Chris offered to crash wrap my window so that my car wouldn’t encounter any water damage from the rain. He also told me that I could bring my car back at the end of the day and he would store in in the garage and do the installation tomorrow when the glass arrived. Who does that? Does this type of service still exist? I couldn’t believe how he was so willing to go above and beyond to satisfy me as a customer. It’s not often, especially in today’s world, to receive that type of service.
