Safelite Wins Two 2016 Supplier Recognition Awards from USAA

USAA Supplier Award for Safelite

Safelite® Solutions, a leading provider of fleet and insurance claims management services and sister company to Safelite AutoGlass, has earned two 2016 Supplier Recognition Awards from USAA. This is the third time Safelite has received this honor. The award is designed to recognize companies that help USAA successfully manage its business processes and deliver world-class member experiences to its more than 11 million members primarily from the military community and their families. USAA’s Supplier Recognition Awards are annually given to a select few companies that have played a key role in leading or advancing USAA’s service.

Innovation is critical to enabling USAA to serve its members wherever they are. Winners could be considered cutting-edge in their approach and development of a unique product, service or process improvement for USAA. Safelite Solutions has been recognized in the innovation category for its research and development planning of a solution for recalibrating vehicle cameras that provide Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Designed to improve driver safety, these cameras are often located on the upper, inner surface of the windshield and capture certain key indicators like lane markers and other road objects. In combination with weather, road conditions, speed, and other factors, these sensor systems provide drivers with guidance through warnings and even unassisted speed control. Safelite is in the process of piloting a one-stop solution for windshield replacement and ADAS recalibration.

Additionally, Safelite won in the supplier excellence category for its high ratings in member experience, particularly its sophisticated process to communicate with USAA members during vehicle glass services Safelite AutoGlass. Of special note, is an industry-leading ‘on my way’ text message that is automatically sent to customers 30- to 60-minutes prior to arrival. USAA has an exceptionally high standard when it comes to service delivery. Winners in this category serve as models for other companies and enable USAA to operate with excellence by consistently providing best-in-class service delivery and performance.
