Karen Kirn, Area Sales Manager
Kim Kirn, a former insurance agent, has been an area sales manager since 1999 and joined Safelite AutoGlass in 2008 through an acquisition of a smaller glass company.
As a former insurance agent herself, Kim understands the needs of her clients and their policyholders.
“I try to be their go-to person,” Karen says, “I try to make it easier for them to business with us whether it’s simply answering questions or resolving a claim issue. I strive to be a trusted facilitator by working directly with customers on behalf of the agent.”
Her peers say that Karen has tremendous passion for creating customer delight and that she takes accountability for customer satisfaction. Everything she touches gets her complete attention and commitment and she can be counted on to deliver results no matter the challenge. In fact, Karen’s leadership and focus has resulted in a tremendous sales year in her market, with a 27% increase over last year.
Karen attributes this growth to Safelite’s recent approach to better support communities at the local level. Safelite encourages employees to get involved in local causes. Karen has been a major part of more than 20 special events, which contributed more than $26,000 in charity action at the local level.
One of her main passions is the Wease Cares Children Fund founded by Rochester radio personality Brother Wease. She has served as a Trustee since 2008. She also recently was involved with planning a “Light the Night Walk” in Rochester supporting efforts to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families – a cause near and dear to her heart as her son is a leukemia survivor.
“These types of local events have really helped us connect with our local customers,” Karen shared.
