Wall of Fame Profile: Randall Coutant

Today’s profile is:

Randall Coutant, Store Manager
Sault Ste Marie, MI


Randall (Randy) has been with Safelite AutoGlass for nearly 20 years! He serves as the store manager of our facility in the “Soo” in the northeastern end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula on the Canadian border.

His store is consistently top of the market and considered a model of excellence. For the third straight year, his location is No. 1 on the field scorecard, and his Key Performance Indexes are among the best with a 93.8% Net Promoter Score.

“One person doesn’t get this kind of award without having a great team you can count on to get the work done,” Randy iterates.

Randy is a man of integrity and sets an example by thinking People First. He understands the importance of having talented, engaged team members. He coaches and develops each of his associates to be the top technicians in the market. Perhaps he’s strong in this area himself because he points to the strong leaders he’s experienced personally: “Over the years with Safelite as manager of this location, I’ve had really good District Manager that have cared for me and have taught me many good qualities,” Randy shares. “But when I got a call from Tom Feeney, Safelite’s president & CEO, on my 20-year anniversary… for him to take a few minutes of his busy day to call and congratulate me, it was real special.”

Additionally, Randy has a passion for service excellence, and he goes above and beyond to delight each customer. Whether he is personally delivering a car back to a customer or making his customer feel at home while in his location, he never loses sight of creating the optimal customer experience.

“When you do something for someone when they don’t expect it and just seeing their reaction to something as little as to cleaning their car for them…” Randy says, “just yesterday a customer wanted a hug from me, just for taking good care of their car.”
