Robert Fell, Operations Manager
In 2012, Safelite AutoGlass acquired Giant Glass, a well-respected and prominent vehicle glass replacement business in the greater Boston area. Robert Fell, a now 17-year industry veteran, was a manager with Giant Glass. He played an instrumental role during the integration, influencing others to quickly implement and embrace Safelite’s “Way of Fitting,” which includes training and use of tools such as the EZI-Wire removal system and GlassHealer setting tool.
Since the acquisition, Robert has been consistently promoted to new management roles. Today he oversees operations at a total of 10 Safelite / Giant facilities.
Thanks to his leadership and dedication, the Giant brand is in the top-tier on all quality metrics, and technician certification is at 100%. Robert’s People First approach shows in his passion for performing tasks to the best of his ability and helping others develop in their roles. His motto is “first in, last out.”
Rob attributes his success to personal relationships with both associates and customers. “When I talk to a customer, I don’t treat them like a stranger,” he explains. “I talk to them like a friend. I enjoy entertaining customers in the lobby as opposed to having them watch the TV. I’m a people person. I love talking to people and hearing their stories.”
This extends to his employees in his locations. “I try to listen to them and their needs. I tell them, ‘Safelite offers growth potential for anybody if you’re willing to go above and beyond – the sky is the limit.’”
